TACA's Mission
As the Turkish American Cultural Alliance in St. Louis, our goal is:
to increase social interaction and friendship by organizing activities to bring together Turkish-American communities of Greater St Louis Area and Missouri
To promote Turkish culture, art, history and heritage in local communities.
TACA-STL is an open organization that does not discriminate by ethnicity, political or religious beliefs, nationality, or sex.
- To reach out, support and help with the problems of our new and existing Turkish, Turkish-American and American friends of Turkey in Missouri.
- To increase awareness of history and culture of Turkey in the Greater St Louis area through events, educational seminars and courses. Organizing activities to create occasions in which people can exchange their ideas and thereby raise public awareness of the contemporary issues related to Turkish culture, Turkey and the Turkish community in St Louis and Missouri.
- To bring together people with interest in Turkish culture regardless of ethnic origin, religion or other preferences.
- To collaborate with other Turkish-American organizations to contribute to efforts to encourage inter-cultural understanding and cultural diversity in our communities.
- To facilitate communication of its members with other Turkish-American associations in the U.S. and participation in the organization of joint activities.
- To properly represent the interests of our members within our scope.
- To facilitate interaction among our members to promote and foster continuing good relationship and understanding.
- To participate in major international festivals and exhibitions on behalf of Turkey.
TACA Membership
Why should I become a member?
Currently TACA is financially dependent mainly on a single fund-raising event (Festival of Nations) and some generous donations from our kind members. As you may imagine, fund-raising events and donations are not dependable sources for a stable budget. In order to be able to make more solid and accurate budgetary plans, which determines the contributions TACA can make to our community and culture including membership events and non-profit events such as donations, TACA needs a constant and dependable membership system. Therefore, we need your contributions and invite you to become members by paying your annual dues.

TACA's Future Events
Every year, TACA organizes events, such as picnics, music and game nights, dinner and evening gatherings, the Bean Night and pool parties on a regular basis, about once a month. Currently, TACA Board Members are working on various new projects to address the wants and needs of our members to a greater extend. Some potential projects include Turkish Classes for Youth and Adults, Turkish Folk Dance Group, Turkish Classical Music choir, and a possible TACA Center.
How can I become a member?
TACA will have a membership drive during our upcoming event, the Bean’n Rice Night. You can become a member by paying your membership dues by check or by cash during this event. Besides, you can become a member by paying your dues in various other ways:

Below is the schedule of membership types and dues:
Regular membership
- Single: $40
- Family: $80
- Student: $20
Premier membership
We value your donations as well. If you would like to donate money to TACA you can become a premier member by following amounts. Becoming a premier member will allow you to receive event coupons, further discounts in our events and merchandises.
Silver Membership status with the donations that starts from $250 - Comes with three free event entrance coupons
Gold Membership status with the donations that starts from $500 - Comes with six free event entrance coupons
Platinum Membership status with the donations that starts from $1000 - All events are free for our platinum members
